What Are BMPs?  

The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) requires that all Lake Tahoe homeowners contribute to the protection of the lake by retro-fitting their properties with erosion controls that prevent sediment and nutrients from entering Lake Tahoe. These controls are called Best Management Practices (BMPs) and can be time consuming and complicated.
